While in total figures he is far from the great stars, there is one section in which he stands out above figures such as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo: goals from the penalty spot.
Since his debut in Liga MX, Jimenez has scored 42 penalty kicks from 44 attempts in official competitions, leaving a success rate of 95.5. His failures were one in the Mexican national team and the other with Wolves in the Europa League.
In the case of Messi, he has scored 114 out of 146 attempts from the penalty spot, which leaves him with a 78.1% success rate, while Cristiano is better with 83.4%, the result of 181 goals in 217 attempts, according to statistics from Transfermarkt.
