Rap icon Boosie Badazz encourages LeBron James to leave Lakers and return home

Rap icon Boosie Badazz has joined the LeBron James future debate, urging the NBA legend to take the flight that departures from the Los Angeles Lakers in order to arrive back to his native Cleveland Cavaliers for what would be a beautiful fairytale ending to his magistic playing career.

Boosie’s opinion on the Lakers situation

Speaking during a recent interview by ‘VladTV‘, the 42-year-old rapper Boosie was asked if the Lakers can compete for an NBA championship with LeBron leading them:

“I don’t feel like the Lakers gonna have to prove themselves. I feel like ain’t nobody really believing in them… with LeBron aging,” Boosie said, further adding that Los Angeles’ success or failure would be up to Luka Doncic stepping up as a leader figure rather than James.

If that is not how things would be, Boosie’s advice is simple: “I think he should go to Cleveland and team up with them boys. Get one and call it a day… Him and Donovan Mitchell… and Evan Mobley and them boys. That’s a hell of a team.”

Why the Cleveland move makes sense

The Cleveland Cavaliers just rode through a 64-18 great runaway season as the Eastern Conference’s number one. Led by All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell and yet young star Evan Mobley, Cleveland is ready to go for the title. Adding LeBron, the hometown hero who gave the city its first championship in 2016, could make them instant number one contenders.

For his fans, a return would mean something more than basketball passion and happiness. It would mean a homecoming, an opportunity for LeBron, now 40, to finish his legendary career exactly where it began.

The obstacles in the way

But the ‘simple’ arrangement is not free of issues. NBA insider Jovan Buha has referenced that reunion is prohibitive costs-wise. Cavaliers can be unable to facilitate a sign-and-trade since they are under a salary cap, particularly if the franchise exceeds the league’s first tax apron.

But the concept has been controversial in sports media. ESPN’sStephen A. Smith recently asked whether LeBron’s best opportunity for a second title is. Is it in Los Angeles… or anywhere else? Fan-driven trade rumors persist online.

Boosie’s words ring a true feeling in what many privately desires: LeBron’s ‘last dance’ could be more in Cleveland than in Los Angeles. Only time will tell if the basketball world will allow it to happen, but the thought of LeBron in “The Land” again is ideal to put and end to one of the greatest careers in NBA history.
