It seems that the former NBA player met his soulmate in fashion designer Latoia Fitzgerald, as she orchestrated a 40th birthday celebration that brought in the most unexpected.
The two-time NBA champion got his birthday to be celebrated with an octane bash that blurred the lines between a luxury gala and a late-night club. Despite she being currently pregnant with the couple’s third child, Latoia went all-in honoring her husband’s transition into his 40s.
From a gourmet dining to an after-hours event
What began as an elegant meal at a luxury venue, alongside gourmet dining and A-list guests, once the night fell down, the atmosphere shifted. Latoia herself shared the transition on her Instagram Stories, claiming:

Videos from the event showed a room fully transformed, with raining dollar bills covering the entire floor and exotic dancers lining the balconies. The entertainment was covered by cabaret performers and a headline set by Rondo’s favorite rapper, Lil Baby, who took the stage to perform for the crowd.
The celebration of a growing family
Amidst the show itself, the heart of the evening remained focused on the couple’s relationship. Rondo, who won rings with both the Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers, was visibly moved by the gesture, sharing in a public statement:

The couple, who famously tied the knot in Lake Como, Italy, in a beautiful ceremony in June 2024, are currently preparing for the new chapter. In addition to the two children they already share, Latoia recently revealed they are expecting another baby, a gift she described as the ultimate birthday present. On her social media, she said:
“Watching you be a father is already one of my greatest joys… and now I get to watch you do it all over again. Best birthday gift I could give you… we’re having a baby. More love. More life. More us.”
While it is true that the strip club atmosphere of the party might raise some eyebrows in more traditional circles, for the Rondos, it appeared to be a great celebration of their unfiltered life together.
