Veteran running back Raheem Mostert has found a new home in the NFL after signing a one-year contract with the Las Vegas Raiders, according to Fox Sports’ Jordan Schultz.
Mostert, with 10 years of experience, has been in the league for much of his career, but had his best three-year run with the Miami Dolphins from 2022 to 2024. He was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2023, where he set the pace for the NFL with 18 rushing touchdowns.
Raiders need to get their running game going
During his three years in Miami, Mostert recorded 475 carries for 2,181 yards and 23 rushing touchdowns, as well as 75 receptions for 538 yards and five receiving touchdowns.
Injuries affected Mostert early in his career. After making his professional debut in 2015, the running back dealt with a long list of ailments. He eventually joined the San Francisco 49ers, where he played from 2016 to 2021, before joining the Dolphins in 2022.
The Raiders ranked last in rushing offense last season, with a dismal average of just 79.8 yards per game
His 10 rushing touchdowns also ranked 28th in the NFL. The addition of Mostert will help get their ground attack back to normal.
