Rachel DeMita says Caitlin Clark will miss the rest of the WNBA season

During an episode of Courtside Club, television host and NBA content creator Rachel DeMita said she sees Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark potentially spending an extended period of time on the sidelines and could even miss the remainder of the WNBA season.

The team led by Stephanie White has had ups and downs that you wouldn’t wish on your worst enemy. From winning the Commissioner’s Cup and hosting an All-Star Game, to a shaky start to the season with a 12-12 record and, most importantly so far, not being able to count on Clark, their brightest star.

DeMita analyzes Indiana’s strategy for Clark’s return

The broadcaster shared her opinion on Clark: “They’re continuing her daily absence, but I don’t know why I feel like it’ll be a while before she’s back on the court. And I’m actually wondering what the strategy will be for her to return. If the Fever get to the point where they don’t make the playoffs, they could sideline her for the rest of the season.”

Clark has already missed 12 games this season, including the Commissioner’s Cup Final. For someone who has played 185 consecutive games without injury, this WNBA season has been tough. She’s already dealt with three different injuries, and just when it seemed she’d overcome one setback, another appeared.

Indiana Fever defeats Las Vegas Aces 80-70

Kelsey Mitchell scored 21 points, Natasha Howard and Aliyah Boston each had double-doubles, and the Fever defeated the Las Vegas Aces 80-70 on Thursday night. Indiana achieved a victory without Clark, who, as we mentioned, remains out with a groin injury and it is unknown when he will return.

Howard finished with 18 points and 13 rebounds, and Boston added 13 points and 10 rebounds. Sophie Cunningham scored 15 points. A’ja Wilson, who averaged 31.7 points during the Aces’ three-game winning streak, led Las Vegas (12-12) with 20 points.
