Quinshon Judkins is officially the Cleveland Browns’ best weapon

The Cleveland Browns secured their first victory sooner than expected, at least for many who believed it would come at another time and not against one of the teams poised to dominate the NFC, the Green Bay Packers. Ultimately, a series of favorable events helped Kevin Stefanski‘s team improve their record to 1-2.

Many factors are aligning to make the team look much better than what we saw in the first two weeks, such as the offensive explosion in the rushing game led by Quinshon Judkins.

Quinshon Judkins Makes the Difference in the Browns’ Offense

In his first NFL game, the former Ohio State star running back racked up 10 carries for 61 yards, and it was very likely he’d see more action against the Packers. And that’s exactly what happened. Judkins was the most productive player in terms of yards, factoring in both the rushing and passing offenses.

Against the Packers, Judkins totaled 94 yards on 18 carries, including his first touchdown, with his longest run going for 38 yards-clearly demonstrating the running back profile the franchise had been hoping for.

To put it in perspective, no player surpassed the yardage Quinshon Judkins achieved throughout the entire 2024 regular season, and ground games exceeded 90 yards only once.

Jerome Ford, with 92 yards in Week 16 of the previous season, was the only one to pull it off. So, we can say that Quinshon Judkins’ breakout is nothing but good news for the Browns, where they can now truly vary their attack between passes and runs on a consistent basis; this changes all the possibilities.

After missing virtually the entire preseason, Judkins only needed to step back onto the field to prove just how valuable he is.

Now, he’ll face a tough challenge against another NFC North team, the Detroit Lions, in Week 4. Another stern test for the Cleveland Browns, though after what we saw against the Packers, it wouldn’t be surprising if they pulled off another upset.
