Former tennis star Anna Kournikova took to Instagram on October 18 to share a candid slice of life with her family, offering one of the few public glimpses into the upbringing of her three children as she and husband, singer Enrique Iglesias, prepare to welcome their fourth baby together.
The post, her first social-media update in over a year, features Kournikova in a whimsical yellow duck costume alongside their twins Lucy and Nicholas, both 7, and daughter Mary, aged 5.
Meanwhile, partner Enrique Iglesias remains behind the scenes in the photograph, reinforcing the pair’s deliberate choice to maintain a low public profile.
Kournikova‘s caption was understated, composed solely of emoji: two pumpkins, a soccer ball, and a duck, but the image carried significant meaning for those familiar with the couple’s private world.
According to a source speaking to People, “Anna and Enrique are very happy to become parents again. They have proven to be great parents to their three children, and both of them love the process. They enjoy the activities and all that goes along with raising children.”
Revisiting a private yet enduring partnership
Kournikova and Iglesias first met during the filming of the singer’s “Escape” music video in 2001, a moment Iglesias later described as life-changing: “[The video changed my life] in ways that I didn’t even think about,” he told People.
Their relationship has quietly matured from that spark, evolving into a committed partnership that now balances fame, performance, parenthood and privacy.
Over the years, Iglesias has acknowledged how the children see and react to his career, offering fond reflections such as:
“When I pick them up from school and they’re having a bad day or one of them is crying or they’re fighting, we say, ‘Guys, what’s your favorite song?’ And then one breaks out into ‘I Like It,’ and then they all start singing it together. It’s the cutest thing ever.”
Despite the couple’s decades in the public eye, they have been resolute in protecting their home life.
“For me, my personal life, I do try to keep it as private as possible because I need that balance,” Iglesias told E! News in 2014.
“When I go home, back home, I want to make sure that whatever goes on in my house, it’s just for me and my loved ones with me that are right there and I need that.”
The new family photo shows Kournikova and her children in Halloween spirit: Mary and Lucy dressed as pumpkins, Nicholas in a casual soccer-themed outfit, and Kournikova herself in a duck costume.
It’s a playful scene that belies how tightly they guard their personal moments from the spotlight.
