The Philadelphia Eagles fans, considered some of the most faithful and passionate in the NFL, are always thinking about having a parade with their players and now, for the second time in six years, fans and players will celebrate after the Eagles knocked off the two-time defending champion Kansas City Chiefs, disrupting their dynasty.

The last time the Eagles won the Super Bowl, in the 2017 season, the parade was held on the Thursday after the game and it is not a bad idea, as it gives fans almost a week to prepare and, in the process, let a storm pass through the Philadelphia area.

Super Bowl LIX Special: Everything you need to know about Eagles vs Chiefs

The Eagles’ Super Bowl parade time around is set for Friday, Feb. 14, as Philadelphians will gather to salute their team after its dominant win in Super Bowl LIX. The weather is expected to be ”perfect” in spite of wintry conditions, with cloudy skies and a maximum temperature of 36 degrees expected.

Monday was expected to be a cloudy day, but on Tuesday the 11th a storm is expected that could leave up to 15 centimeters of snow in the city, complicating any type of celebration. These snowfalls will last until Wednesday, although with less intensity.

The parade route amid Philadelphia’s Super Bowl victory

In February 2018, when the Eagles won their only title so far in NFL history, more than 2 million fans took to the streets of the ‘City of Brotherly Love’ to celebrate.

The parade began at the Lincoln Financial Field at 11 in the morning and traveled just over five miles through the main streets of the city for almost two hours, aboard 22 panoramic buses on whose top part current players and some stars of the past paraded, as well as cheerleaders, managers and some local celebrities.

As well as a delegation of city services: police, firefighters, ambulances and floats. At that celebration, some of the players dressed in superhero costumes and were also accompanied by their families.

On the streets of Philadelphia, the fans chanted for their Eagles at all times, after they won their first title in three tries.

In addition, the city installed 14 screens and 850 portable toilets, which served hundreds of people who partied under the influence of intoxicating drinks from very early on. In addition, classes and activities in public offices in the city of Philadelphia and surrounding suburbs in New Jersey were suspended.

The parade concluded on the esplanade of the Art Museum, where some of the team’s figures spoke to the fans.
