Philadelphia Eagles Minicamp 2025: What day do the Super Bowl champions train? Will it be open to the public?

Unlike most NFL teams that will hold three days of training, the Super Bowl LIX champions will have a single mandatory minicamp session scheduled for June 10

The team led by Nick Sirianni is preparing to defend its title and will look to maintain the level of intensity and competitiveness that led them to glory, but with a balanced approach.

That is why the offseason training program has been divided into three phases, culminating in the mandatory minicamp that represents the last group activity before training camp.

The Eagles’ work schedule has evolved since Sirianni’s arrival. Initially, when he was hired as head coach, the team’s leaders convinced him to eliminate mandatory minicamp to keep players fit. However, after the 2023 collapse, they decided to change their approach. Now, as Super Bowl champions, they are looking to balance the toughness of training with a slightly reduced workload.

Important dates for the Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles have already completed the Organized Team Activities (OTAs) sessions that were divided into phases. The team met for on-field sessions six times before the mandatory minicamp: May 27-28, May 30, and June 2-3 and 5

During these sessions, players have participated in 7-on-7, 9-on-7 and 11-on-11 drills, although without full physical contact, which will be prohibited until training camp.

Attendance at minicamp is mandatory, meaning players who do not attend could be fined significantly. According to Spotrac, the maximum fine for missing minicamp would be $17,462 for the first day, $34,925 for the second day and $52,381 for missing a third day. However, considering that the Eagles will only have one day of minicamp, the maximum fine for absent players would be the one corresponding to the first day.

How is the Philadelphia Eagles’ preseason going?

This will be Nick Sirianni’s fifth year in charge of the Eagles, albeit with a slightly revamped coaching staff. Sirianni has preached competition from the start, and things look set to be intense with a new offensive coordinator, a new quarterbacks coach and several new faces on the defensive side of the ball.

Continuity with Jalen Hurts, who received the Super Bowl MVP, will be key during a season of change. The quarterback has shown exceptional leadership and his connection with the offensive team will be vital to maintaining the high level of performance.

The Eagles will also have to adapt to some changes in their roster, as it was recently announced that Bryce Huff, who was part of the championship team, was traded to the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for a fifth-round pick in next year’s Draft.

On the other hand, figures such as Saquon Barkley, who renewed his contract with the Eagles for a historic figure, and Cooper DeJean, who made a key interception in the Super Bowl, will be important pillars for the team next season.
