Phil Mickelson has reportedly sought professional treatment during an extended spell away from competitive golf, adding another significant development to a year shaped by personal difficulties.

The six-time major winner has spent much of 2026 away from the game after stepping back from competition, with his absence stretching across several of golf’s most prominent tournaments.

Now Mickelson‘s representatives told TMZ that he recently stayed at an undisclosed facility to receive treatment for family trauma and addiction, although they add that he has since left the center.
