The Major League Baseball winter break has allowed the most high-profile couple in American sports, Paul Skenes and Olivia Dunne, to embark on a festive tour of the East Coast that has kept their millions of followers on edge.
What began as a quiet celebration of their first Christmas in Dunne’s new Manhattan apartment turned into a sporting tour and the perfect time for Dunne to joke about Skenes’ height again.

The couple was spotted enjoying the atmosphere at Rockefeller Center, one of the nerve centers of New York’s festivities. However, beyond the lights and the monumental tree, the moment that caught everyone’s attention was a fun interaction on TikTok. To the rhythm of “Last Christmas”, Dunne tried to recreate a romantic gesture by resting her head on the shoulder of the Pittsburgh Pirates star pitcher.
The scene highlighted, once again, the impressive height difference between the two. With Skenes towering over six feet and Dunne at an average gymnast’s height, the young athlete barely managed to reach her partner’s shoulder, leading her to joke on social media that it was “the tallest shoulder in history“.
This is not the first time the couple has played with this physical contrast, having previously shared videos where they highlight the gap of almost 30 centimeters that separates them.
Olivia Dunne is not convinced by Paul Skenes’ future plans
A few weeks ago, Paul Skenes revealed his interest in enlisting in the army once his career as a sportsman is over. “I don’t know if I’ll go back and, you know, be in the army, but it’s… just living it for me. You get better while you’re at the Air Force Academy, by the very nature of being there,” the MLB player explained.
For her part, Olivia Dunne explained that she always wants the best for her partner, but that if he makes that decision it would be tough for her.
“I don’t know if I want Paul to serve, I would miss him too much,” the former gymnast revealed about the option of her boyfriend serving in the Armed Forces.
