Patriots WAGs steal the spotlight with viral TikTok before snowy playoff win

Snow fell steadily over Gillette Stadium on Sunday night, setting the tone for a divisional round matchup that leaned more toward endurance than elegance. The New England Patriots and the Houston Texans clashed in brutal conditions that limited offensive rhythm and demanded discipline on every snap. It was the kind of game where patience mattered as much as talent.

The numbers reflected the struggle. Of 29 competitive possessions, eight ended in turnovers and 13 more stalled with punts. Momentum was fragile, often erased by the slick field and freezing air. New England eventually pulled away for a 28-16 win, but the margin hardly captured the tension that defined the afternoon.

While the game itself took time to warm up, the scene around it did not. Even before kickoff, attention drifted toward the sideline, where the Patriots’ WAGs brought a flash of personality and style to an otherwise gray, snow-covered setting.

A viral moment before the first snap

Hours ahead of the opening whistle, the Patriots’ WAGs shared a TikTok video showcasing their pregame outfits on the field. What might have been a casual behind-the-scenes clip quickly gained traction, spreading across platforms and becoming a viral hit. In a weekend dominated by defensive battles and weather updates, the video offered a different angle on playoff football.

Among the standout looks was Ann Michael Maye, wife of quarterback Drake Maye. Her outfit made its message unmistakable: a white “I Love Drake Maye” T-shirt layered under an oversized fur coat, paired with dark pants, black leather boots, and a No. 10 headband. In the middle of a snowstorm, it felt both practical and symbolic.

Drake Maye appeared to appreciate the support. Keeping a personal gameday tradition, he found Anne on the sideline before kickoff, sharing a brief moment of calm before stepping into a high-pressure playoff environment. Maye’s poise carried over onto the field, where he delivered an efficient performance.

He completed 16 of 27 passes for 179 yards, threw three touchdowns, and added 10 rushing yards to help seal the victory. It was not a flashy stat line, but it was effective in conditions that demanded control more than creativity.

After the game, Anne celebrated the win on Instagram, posting photos from the field with captions reading “I (heart) YOU!!!!!!!” and “iconic.” Their story stretches back to high school, continued through their time at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and led to their marriage in June 2025.

On a night defined by cold weather and tough football, the Patriots still found a moment that resonated far beyond the scoreboard. In a playoff run built on grit, a viral TikTok reminded fans that the NFL stage always has room for personality.
