Patrick Mahomes looked like a kid again in his 8th team photo; drafted in 2017, and after three Super Bowl championships and two NFL MVPs, he remains deeply in love with the team and the sport.
Initially joined the Kansas City Chiefs as a backup to Alex Smith after being drafted in 2017. However, after a standout performance in the last game of the 2017 season, he secured the starting quarterback position and never looked back.
Broncos rookie QB Bo Nix has received more fan votes for the Pro Bowl than Patrick Mahomes.
Fan voting accounts for one-third of the NFL Pro Bowl tally, with the other two-thirds made up by the players and coaches.
As the fan polls close, Denver Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix has finished with the seventh-most Pro Bowl votes at his position. While some Broncos fans might be disappointed that three AFC quarterbacks garnered more votes than Nix, one very conspicuous quarterback who didn’t outshine him in the polls is Patrick Mahomes.
Although Mahomes hasn’t produced his usual stats this year, his 3,928 passing yards and 26 touchdown passes are still impressive, especially considering the weapons he has around him. In comparison, Nix, in his first year, has passed for 3,454 yards and 25 touchdowns, with one more interception than Mahomes (12).
Nix has also contributed an additional 383 rushing yards, four rushing scores, and even a receiving touchdown in Baltimore.
