Patrick Mahomes pulls off the ultimate prank play as Chiefs humiliate Raiders 31-0

Patrick Mahomes once again proved why he’s a master of deception – and dominance. During Sunday’s 31-0 blowout win over the Las Vegas Raiders, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback pulled off one of the season’s funniest and smartest plays, tricking the defense with a perfectly executed bluff on fourth down.

Facing fourth-and-1 early in the first half, Mahomes walked to the line and appeared visibly frustrated, shouting, “This f*cking never f*cking works, man!” just before taking a quick snap.

While the Raiders stood frozen, thinking the play was dead, the Chiefs ran the ball straight up the middle for an easy first down. The drive ended with an eight-yard touchdown pass from Mahomes to Marquise “Hollywood” Brown, putting Kansas City up 14-0.

Mahomes looked like his best

The sequence had both fans and analysts laughing – even Raiders head coach Pete Carroll looked stunned on the sideline. Mahomes’ perfectly timed act not only extended the drive but also set the tone for what became one of the Chiefs’ most dominant wins of the season.

Mahomes finished with 286 passing yards and three touchdowns in less than three quarters before giving way to backup Gardner Minshew. Two of those touchdowns went to wide receiver Rashee Rice.

The star receiver made a triumphant return from a six-game suspension and a previous ACL injury. Rice caught seven passes for 42 yards and looked fully integrated back into the offense.

The Raiders never stood a chance

Kansas City scored on its first five possessions and racked up 434 total yards while completely shutting down the Raiders, who lost star pass rusher Maxx Crosby to a knee injury early in the game. Las Vegas’ offense, meanwhile, never made it back across midfield after its opening drive.

By the time the third quarter ended, Mahomes and several other starters had already taken a seat, their work more than done. The Chiefs’ blowout win not only showcased their offensive depth but also reminded the league that when Mahomes and Andy Reid get creative, even the toughest defenses don’t stand a chance.
