Patrick Mahomes‘ mother, Randi, watched her son’s last game from a hospital room, standing by her father, Randy Martin, who is battling health issues. As she shared a glimpse of this moment on social media, Randi, 53, asked her followers to send prayers during this difficult time for her family.
With the start of October, Randi took to Instagram to share a hopeful message. Reposting a quote from Zach Windahl, she wished for a positive month ahead: “I PRAY OCTOBER IS GOOD FOR YOU.”
Randi first shared the news of her father’s hospitalization on social media back on September 13, without going into details about his condition.
Since then, she has been relying on the support of her fans and friends, hoping they will send good thoughts and prayers for her father’s recovery, with whom she shares a close bond.
Mother passed away last year
This is not the first time Randi has reached out for support during a family health crisis. Last year, she asked for prayers for her mother, Debbie Bates, who faced a series of health issues. Debbie passed away in April 2023, a loss that deeply affected the family and now adds to the emotional weight as Randi faces her father’s struggles.
Randi’s social media is filled with loving posts about her family – celebrating her children Patrick, Jackson, and Mia, and sharing moments with her grandchildren, Sterling and Bronze.
Yet, one bond that stands out is her special connection with her father, Randy Martin. A former school principal with over three decades in education, Martin instilled values like humility, kindness, and the importance of education in Randi, shaping the close relationship they have today.
