Patrick Mahomes has warned two offensive players; Things are tense in the Kansas City Chiefs

Although the Kansas City Chiefs were crowned American Conference champions for the third consecutive year, the end of the season was far from pleasant for Patrick Mahomes and company after they were crushed in the Super Bowl by the Philadelphia Eagles, 40-22.

With that blowout in New Orleans, Patrick Mahomes missed out on his fourth Vince Lombardi Trophy. Even so, this season they will try again, and they are favorites in the AFC to return once more to the NFL’s biggest game. However, it will not be easy because behind them are Josh Allen’s Bills, Lamar Jackson’s Ravens, and Joe Burrow’s Bengals.

One of the issues Andy Reid must fix as Head Coach is the offense, which was practically stalled all year. Despite that, they made it to the Super Bowl, but in that game, they were unable to respond, which is why attention must be paid. With the return of Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy in his second year, things could change.

Patrick Mahomes is happy with his receiving group

Last season, Rashee Rice was injured starting week 4. Along with the dip in performance from Travis Kelce and Xavier Worthy being in his rookie season, it undoubtedly affected the rhythm Patrick Mahomes wanted to take. Even so, they finished with a 15-2 record.

Patrick Mahomes threw 26 touchdown passes and passed for 3,928 yards-numbers that for many quarterbacks would be decent, but the Texas Tech product has us used to better stats. So the quarterback is happy to have all his receivers healthy, for now.

“I think it’s going to come from everywhere. You have Rashee Rice coming back and he looks great. You have Xavier Worthy, who finished very strong last year, and you have Hollywood Brown healthy again. Guys everywhere. You add Travis Kelce, a Hall of Famer. Noah Gray, a great tight end. And everyone we added to those different groups. Lots of weapons.”

The Chiefs start as favorites, but the AFC West division is becoming more competitive with the Broncos, Chargers, and Raiders who could make a big leap. Additionally, the conference has the Ravens and Bills, so things could get tough for Kansas City.
