Patrick Mahomes got himself into big trouble with Tom Brady that will be remembered for a long time

The Kansas City Chiefs are looking to build a competitive team that will put them back at the top of the NFL. In the last Super Bowl, they were crushed by the Philadelphia Eagles, but for now, they remain favorites to win the AFC and return to the biggest game in the NFL.

There’s no doubt that last season, the Chiefs’ defense carried the team for much of the year, as the offense failed to be as explosive as we’ve come to expect in the Patrick Mahomes era.

Defensive end Janarius Robinson has already spoken for the first time as a member of the Chiefs

Kansas City brought Robinson over from the Las Vegas Raiders. The defensive end has played in 16 NFL games, all with Tom Brady’s team, and has already faced Patrick Mahomes twice.

“It’ll be a pleasure to be on the right side and not have to chase them anymore,” Robinson said. “It’s an incredible opportunity to be part of the Kansas City Chiefs.”

Robinson’s addition gives the Chiefs even more depth on the defensive line, which already includes standouts like George Karlaftis, Mike Danna, Charles Omenihu, Felix Anudike-Uzomah, and Malik Herring. Star defensive tackle Chris Jones also lines up on the edge at times.

Robinson entered the NFL with the Minnesota Vikings in 2021, but injuries prevented him from even making his debut. That same misfortune continued until he joined the Raiders, where he was finally able to play his first NFL games.

As of 2024, Robinson arrives in Kansas City with 16 games played, three starts, 1.5 sacks, and one pass defended in his career.

“I think the ideal thing is to be long, athletic, and able to impact both the passing game and the run game,” Robinson said. “It means a lot to me to be a defensive end in the NFL.”

Now fully healthy, Robinson is ready to participate in a full offseason, including the strength and conditioning program and training camp – something he’ll be doing for the first time in his career.

“That was one of the key reasons why I made this decision,” he stated. “I want to take advantage of this opportunity to learn the system, get to know my teammates, build relationships, and really integrate myself into the culture of the Chiefs.”
