Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are looking to expand their championship-winning chemistry into the culinary world with the opening of their upscale steakhouse, 1587 Prime. And the restaurant is now on the hunt for key staff members ahead of its highly anticipated debut.

Partnering with hospitality group Noble 33, the pair is bringing a new kind of dining experience to Kansas City. Set to open this summer, 1587 Prime will occupy 10,000 square feet across two floors inside the Loews Hotel on Wyandotte Street.

And while the ambiance promises to be high-end, the opportunity to work there is already stirring up buzz among job seekers.

A new venture off the field with major job opportunities

The steakhouse recently listed openings for two high-profile positions: an operations manager and a bar manager. This follows an earlier listing for an executive chef, indicating that Mahomes and Kelce are serious about staffing their team with seasoned professionals.

According to the job posting, the operations manager will earn a salary between $55,000 and $90,000 per year, with responsibilities focused on overseeing the day-to-day functionality of the restaurant. The role includes managing staff, driving brand standards, and working closely with the executive chef and general manager to shape the business’s growth and vision.

Applicants should hold a degree in business, hospitality, or a related field – though a strong mix of experience and education will also be considered. At least three to five years in a similar management role, ideally in an upscale or lifestyle brand environment, is required.

Meanwhile, the bar manager role comes with a salary range of $70,000 to $80,000 annually and involves managing all aspects of bar operations. That includes inventory, staff oversight, scheduling, training, and helping to boost beverage sales.

The ideal candidate should bring three to five years of experience in a full-service restaurant environment and possess strong knowledge in cocktails, spirits, and wine.

Both roles are designed for hospitality professionals who are not only experienced, but also passionate about creating a premier dining experience.
