Paige Spiranac, a well-known name in the world of golf both as a former professional player and a social media influencer, is stepping into a new role that is adding another dimension to her career.

Recently, Spiranac has been actively involved as a reporter at the 2025 Grass League Summer Grind, held at Goat Hill Park Golf Club in Oceanside, California. The event concluded on August 31, and Spiranac took to social media to share how much she is enjoying this fresh experience.

“Been on the mic a lot lately and I’m loving it!” Spiranac said, reflecting her excitement about working in front of the camera in a journalistic capacity. This latest position adds to her growing presence in the sports media landscape, demonstrating her versatility beyond her established reputation as a golf content creator.

The Grass League Summer Grind is a dynamic competition featuring 88 golfers split into 11 franchises. The format is a two-man scramble, and the stakes are high with a $100,000 prize purse up for grabs. Teams earn Grass League points by finishing in the top 10, with the Michigan Auto Aces leading the pack at 31-under par heading into the final round.

Close behind them were the Scottsdale Strikers, just one shot back. Michigan’s Ryan Macpherson and Gabriel Salvenera made a significant impact with a 10-under round on Saturday, maintaining strong momentum for their team.

Expanding media horizons

Spiranac’s foray into reporting is part of a broader career evolution. Earlier in August, she joined PGA Tour Live as a correspondent for the Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club, a prestigious event in the PGA calendar. This opportunity has further expanded her visibility and credibility as a media personality in the golf world.

With over 6.7 million followers across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and X, Spiranac brings a powerful social media presence that few can match.

Her genuine personality and knowledge of the sport resonate with fans, making her a natural fit for media roles. This crossover from influencer to reporter exemplifies how athletes and personalities are finding new ways to stay connected with their audiences while building fresh career paths.

A memorable moment highlighting Spiranac’s growing media profile occurred during the PGA Tour’s Creator Classic at East Lake, where reporter Amanda Balionis jokingly remarked on Spiranac’s microphone skills, hinting at a playful rivalry. Spiranac responded warmly, recognizing Balionis as a mentor, which underlines the supportive nature of her transition into this new field.

Spiranac’s journey into sports journalism marks a promising new chapter, one where her love for golf and engaging communication skills come together. Fans eagerly await her continued contributions to golf coverage, anticipating that she will bring the same passion and authenticity that have defined her career so far.
