Paige Spiranac bids farewell to the year with a slow-motion video that captivates her fans

Paige Spiranac sparked another wave of attention on social media this week after sharing a slow-motion video of her golf swing, delighting fans who have followed her journey from competitive golf to digital media prominence.

The clip quickly went viral, blending technical finesse with her confident presence and a bold outfit that immediately drew viewers’ eyes.

Spiranac, who has millions of followers across platforms, saw instant engagement with the post. Fans praised the mechanics of her swing, while others focused on her appearance-a pattern that has accompanied her career since she first rose to prominence.

While the response was familiar to Spiranac, the timing was notable given the scrutiny she has faced in recent weeks.

Long before her social media fame, Spiranac was a competitive golfer. She played collegiately at San Diego State University before turning professional in 2015.

She competed on developmental circuits, including the Cactus Tour, and attempted to qualify for the LPGA through Q School.

By late 2016, Spiranac stepped away from professional golf to focus on building a career in digital media, turning her notoriety on and off the course into a personal brand.

Controversy, backlash, and resilience

Her online visibility has not been without challenges. During a $1 million charity golf tournament in November, Spiranac was caught in the middle of controversy. While playing the final match, footage appeared to show her pressing down long grass near the ball of teammate Malosi Togisala, which some interpreted as improving his lie.

Spiranac quickly issued an apology, but the online reaction escalated far beyond critique. She described the backlash as some of the worst harassment she has faced in her ten-year career.

“The last week and a half has been probably the worst hate I’ve ever received in the ten years of me doing this,” Spiranac said. “I’m talking tens of thousands of death threats, people telling me to kill myself, the most vile, horrendous stuff you could ever say to an individual. That’s been in my DMs to the point where we were discussing me having to potentially get a restraining order. I mean, it’s serious stuff. It’s not easy, and it hasn’t been easy.”

Despite the intensity of the harassment, Spiranac has continued to engage with fans, post regularly, and expand her brand. She recently released her 2026 calendar and continues to maintain her presence as a media personality, demonstrating resilience in the face of extreme online scrutiny.

Her experience highlights the growing challenges athletes and influencers face in balancing public visibility with personal well-being, showing that even seasoned professionals must navigate the realities of digital exposure and the consequences of viral moments.
