Paige Spiranac admits to sabotaging fellow golfer Garrett Clark

Paige Spiranac, the professional golfer turned influencer, has publicly taken responsibility for unintentionally derailing fellow content creator Garrett Clark‘s attempts to re-enter the dating scene.

Clark, a rising star on the GM Golf circuit, had recently become single and was eager to explore potential romantic connections but the 32-year-old Spiranac had different ideas.

During a collaborative trip to Arizona earlier this year, Paige volunteered to serve as his wingwoman she revealed to the The Nitty Gritty with Paige Spiranac, which debuted on September 2, 2025.

However, her approach involved managing Garrett‘s Instagram account and sending messages on his behalf, a strategy she later admitted went awry as she attempted to craft elaborate, thoughtful messages.

The plan was that she believed that the recipients would appreciate sophisticated conversation starters, but the response was not what either expected as his account received little to no engagement, leaving both creators frustrated.

“I was crafting up these amazing messages and they were not getting any response. This generation wants just a hey or an emoji. And I was coming in hot,” Spiranac acknowledged as she recognized her misstep.

But or Clark, the experience was particularly discouraging as she said, “Dude, you realize how much of a shot to my confidence that was. I’ve never slid into a girl’s DMs like almost ever.

“That hurt.”

The incident served as a learning experience for both, highlighting the nuances of modern online dating and communication, and Spiranac issued a public apology during the podcast, emphasizing her accountability.

“I want to personally apologize,” Paige continued. “To anyone who has received a DM from Garrett that was actually from me.

“That was all me. That was all me.”

Her confession reflects the honesty and humor that have long characterized her public persona, and it offers a candid glimpse into the challenges even social media-savvy influencers can face when navigating personal relationships online.

Spiranac trades Instagram for reporting role

Beyond her social media presence, Spiranac has expanded her career into sports media and executive roles as she is currently working with The Grass League, a Par 3 circuit billed as the first high-stakes league of its kind.

Earlier this year, the league announced she would join its leadership team, helping shape long-term content strategy and brand development and now she’s putting that plan into action, being a regular at events.

The championship finale scheduled for December 5-6 in Tempe, Arizona and her reporting has drawn engagement similar to her viral golf content, reinforcing her role as a prominent figure in both the golf and influencer communities.

“The Grass League is breaking boundaries and pushing golf into an exciting new era,” Spiranac said. “This is a chance to be part of something innovative, competitive, and culture-shaping from the inside out.”
