All 32 NFL teams are scrambling to reinforce their rosters heading into the second half of the 2025 season, with general managers working around the clock to secure the right player who could help them reach the postseason.
Only twelve days remain before the trade deadline, and one of the biggest rumors gaining traction in recent days involves the potential move of Maxx Crosby from the Las Vegas Raiders to the Dallas Cowboys.
Other notable names being discussed include Alvin Kamara, Kirk Cousins, and Mark Andrews, established stars who could soon find themselves wearing new uniforms.
Chris Olave, wide receiver, New Orleans Saints
Perhaps the most intriguing candidate for a late trade before the deadline is the Saints’ wide receiver, Chris Olave. His rising stock makes him an attractive target for a title-contending franchise.
At the same time, Olave could serve as a cornerstone for New Orleans as they attempts to rebuild a competitive team. Much remains uncertain about the full potential of the squad being assembled by Kellen Moore in his first season as head coach of the Saints.
Cam Taylor-Britt, cornerback, Cincinnati Bengals
Head coach Zac Taylor has expressed that he expects more from his veteran cornerback. Although Taylor-Britt has had occasional friction with the team, he remains a player who could fit well in another organization should Cincinnati decide to transfer him.
His skills in deep coverage would certainly draw attention from teams looking to strengthen their secondary, especially the Dallas Cowboys, who have been active in the market.
Kirk Cousins, quarterback, Atlanta Falcons
Since the preseason, speculation has swirled around Cousins’ future in Atlanta. He lost his starting role to Michael Penix Jr. in 2024 but remained a supportive teammate throughout the transition.
It wouldn’t be surprising if a franchise like the Raiders pursued him, hoping to steady a ship that appears to be veering off course.
Maxx Crosby, defensive end, Las Vegas Raiders
Jerry Jones reportedly envisions rebuilding a defense as dominant as the one he once had with Micah Parsons before his departure to Green Bay. Earlier this week, rumors surfaced that Jones was maneuvering to bring Crosby to Dallas.
However, the Raiders’ front office has assured Crosby that they have no intention of trading him. Both sides have expressed mutual appreciation, Crosby himself has stated that he’s “very happy in Las Vegas.”
Jaelan Phillips, DE/OLB, Miami Dolphins
Miami’s season has unraveled. The offense lacks direction as head coach Mike McDaniel continues to stand by Tua Tagovailoa as his starter. Many analysts believe the Dolphins would revive their campaign by benching Tua in favor of rookie Quinn Ewers. For now, that remains wishful thinking, as Tagovailoa is set to start again.
Phillips, who will become a free agent in 2026, has shown strong form in October despite his injury history. His production could make him a valuable target for other franchises, and Miami might consider moving him if its struggles persist over the next two weeks.
