Unfortunately, Angel Reese did not have her ideal comeback. After recovering from a back injury that kept her out for two games, Chicago Sky lost to Washington Mystics 103-86 on her return.
This is the sixth consecutive loss for the 23-year-old star and her team, placing them 12th in the WNBA standings with a 7-19 record.
Reese’s new achievement
After missing two games due to a back injury, the two-time All-Star shone at CareFirst Arena with a double-double of 22 points and 13 rebounds. She was also the team’s top scorer.
However, despite the loss, Reese shared some good news and a new title: Best Dressed in Business.
Angel‘s outfits, whenever she appears in action, on or off the court, attract the attention of her fans and WNBA followers. And this time, they earned her this distinction.
Fast Company awarded her this recognition for bringing her glamour on and off the court, and the 23-year-old star did not hesitate to share it with her more than 5 million followers.
In her Instagram stories, the Chicago forward shared the post referring to this recognition and wrote: “Thank you! Such an honor!” along with a white heart emoji.
The post reveals a curious detail: her passion for fashion began by rummaging through her mother’s closet, from which she stole bags and heels, although she had trouble feeling comfortable in them.
“I think it took me a while to feel confident in heels, going out, because I was already so tall, but once I got older and seeing how much I stood out, it made me feel, like, super confident and bold,” said Reese, who continues to wear them today and dazzle with her walk.
Undoubtedly, this achievement brings a little joy to the young forward after Chicago‘s defeat and, at the same time, continues to position her as one of the leading female figures in sports and fashion. Because she has proven that both worlds are compatible and that you can succeed in both, whether wearing sneakers or high heels.
