Olivia Dunne ‘crushes’ her haters with the most ingenious comment ever thought of, which even Paul Skenes will applaud

Olivia Dunne, once an LSU gymnastics star, now captivates millions online. After retiring in 2025, she crafts content blending athletic grit and charm, drawing fans to her vibrant TikTok presence with over eight million followers.

Her gymnastics career ended abruptly in April 2025. A knee injury sidelined her, halting her time with LSU’s championship team. The 2024 national title remains a proud milestone, but retirement opened doors to new creative pursuits.

In a recent TikTok, Dunne shared an LSU practice clip. It showed her struggling on the uneven bars, missing grabs repeatedly. The video captured gymnastics’ brutal demands, yet she captioned it boldly: “The lioness does not concern herself with catching the bar.”

This statement resonated widely, reflecting her resilience. It honored the relentless training that defined her college years. Fans admired the nod to her roots, celebrating her authenticity in sharing imperfect moments.

Yet, fame invites scrutiny. One commenter sniped, “Time to find a new personality, babe.” Such criticism is common for Dunne, whose massive following attracts both praise and unwarranted jabs from online detractors.

Unfazed, Dunne delivered a sharp retort: “Your comment Just paid my bills for the next month.” The response cleverly highlighted her lucrative endorsements, turning the insult into a testament to her business savvy.

Fans erupted in support, flooding comments with praise. Her quick wit showcased her strength, transforming negativity into a moment of empowerment. Dunne‘s post-gymnastics life buzzes with possibility too.

“My life has revolved around gymnastics,” Dunne noted. “So, honestly, to be able to say yes to more things and potentially maybe do some more performing art stuff on screen – and I’m very excited.”

Her journey illustrates graceful adaptation. From elite athlete to influencer, she leverages experience for growth. Skenes‘ steadfastness in baseball complements this, as both defy external narratives.

Could Paul Skenes be traded from the Pittsburgh Pirates?

The 2025 MLB regular season concluded on October 22, with the Pittsburgh Pirates posting a 71-91 mark. This placed them last in the NL Central, prompting questions about their young ace’s future.

Skenes distinguished himself amid the disappointments as his July All-Star appearance showcased elite velocity and command, bolstering his Cy Young candidacy. He provided consistent excellence on a resource-strapped roster.

Interest from rival clubs grew during the year. Teams such as the Chicago Cubs, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Baltimore Orioles sought details on acquiring him. However, Pittsburgh consistently declined, prioritizing long-term development.

A standout proposal arrived from the Mets. It included prospects Jett Williams and Jonah Tong, labeled a “godfather” package for its allure. Yet, the Pirates stood firm against the temptation.

Ben Cherington, the team’s GM, affirmed Skenes’ core role. His contract offers control until 2029, with arbitration postponed to 2027. Trading him would require an exchange beyond the Juan Soto benchmark.

Industry observers foresee stability for now. Skenes addressed the speculation matter-of-factly, redirecting energy to preparation.

As winter approaches, Skenes gears up for spring training and Dunne explores screen opportunities, signaling expansive horizons.
