All sports have an appeal, in boxing it is the heavyweight category. It is the category that provides the most excitement and the one that everyone wants to see because of the caliber of the boxers. It is where the tanks, the warriors, where strength takes on its true meaning of mass by acceleration

It is for this reason that the fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois is important. Two great boxers of today will face each other on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at the iconic Wembley Stadium in London.

Oleksandr Usyk vs Daniel Dubois: What happened in the first fight?

The original fight between Usyk and Dubois took place in August 2023, with the Ukrainian retaining his titles by technical knockout in the ninth round. However, the bout was marred by a controversial moment in the fifth round, when Dubois landed a punch that was considered low by the referee, but many argued was legitimate.

That incident sparked conversation among fans and pundits alike, and is one of the main reasons why this rematch is so eagerly awaited, as there are still scores to be settled from that encounter

Who is the world champion and what is his record?

  • The setting for this fight, for this rematch, could only be what it is, a cathedral, because Wembley is the sacred place where another of the passions that moves the world, football, was born
  • And this is precisely where the four heavyweight crowns at stake will be played out: IBF, IBO, WBC and WBO. There is tension and, of course, there is a lot at stake. The table is set for this all-out battle.
  • Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk, unbeaten in 23 fights, is 1.91 meters tall and weighs 102 kilos. He is a mass of muscle, fury and heart. He has won his last five fights, including a double victory over Tyson Fury, where he established himself as the heavyweight champion
  • Of those 23 fights, 14 have ended by knockout. His 78-inch (198 cm) reach makes him a virtually impossible wall to break through
  • Daniel Dubois has sentimental favoritism because he is British, from the backyard. He has an impressive record of 22 wins and two losses. Of those fights, 21 have ended by KO
  • He is the current reigning IBF champion, so he also puts his crown on the line. Makhmudov is 6 ‘5 ” (196 cm) and 248.6 pounds (112.8 kg). Both have the same reach, although Dubois is younger

Schedule, fight card and prices for Usyk vs Dubois 2

The DAZN network will be in charge of broadcasting the evening, under the PPV modality. In the United States, the cost is $59.99, in the United Kingdom it is 24.99 pounds and if you paid at the time to watch last Saturday’s fight between Berlanga and Sheeraz, you are covered for this occasion.

The main card includes:

  • Oleksandr Usyk vs Daniel Dubois – for the four heavyweight belts.
  • Lawrence Okolie vs Kevin Lerena – WBC Silver heavyweight.
  • Daniel Lapin vs Lewis Edmondson – IBF Intercontinental light heavyweight.
  • Lasha Guruli vs James Francis – super lightweight (six rounds).
  • Aadam Hamed vs Ezequiel Gregores – super lightweight (4 rounds).
  • Vladyslav Sirenko vs Solomon Dacres – heavyweight.

The rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois promises to be one of the most anticipated fights of the year. Not only because of the talent of both, but also because of the emotional charge and the desire to settle old scores. Whatever the outcome, the spectacle is guaranteed.
