Offensive Taylor Swift T-shirt Eagles fans will wear to Super Bowl will be another motivation for Travis Kelce

Philadelphia Eagles fans may have handed Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs extra motivation for free ahead of Super Bowl LIX by designing an incredibly disrespectful t-shirt towards Taylor Swift.

The 35-year-old popstar is from Pennsylvania and initially had a soft sport for the Eagles, but has since chosen to root for the Chiefs since she began a relationship with the NFL tight end back in August 2023.

Her presence in the NFL has been a subject of controversial debate, with fans claiming she’s a negative influence on Andy Reid‘s team whilst others claim the league is forcing her image too much as a marketing tool.

However, Eagles fans have taken it too far. A shirt containing the phrase “f**k Taylor Swift” with the famous bird logo adorning it has gone viral online and has split opinion, with some arguing it’s in bad taste.

Dov Kleiman wrote to X.com, formerly Twitter, “Awful: #Eagles fans have made shirts to give out cursing out Taylor Swift for the Super Bowl: “F**k Taylor Swift” There’s no place for this in sports.”

A second said, “All that does is poke the bear. They’re tugging on Superman’s cape.”

And a third commented, “That’s Philly for you.”

But not everyone is against the idea as some fans back the t-shirt, adding that Swift and the NFL have brought it on themselves for the amount of screentime she gets; which is seldom more than 60 seconds per game.

One critic wrote, “There’s no place in sports to put her on TV constantly. We don’t give a f**k about Swift yet we are forced to see her every game.”

And another said, “Exactly!! Also, the refs cheat at the behest of the NFL to ensure the Chiefs win – to get the whole Taylor Swift fandom aboard w. the NFL.”

Whilst a third user concluded, “the NFL has shoved her down our throats. They created this animosity. Besides she has had so many BFs this is probably true.”

Super Bowl LIX odds: Who is favorite?

The Kansas City Chiefs enter Super Bowl LIX as the defending two-time champions and look to make history through Patrick Mahomes, by winning a third consecutive ring for the first time ever.

Meanwhile the Philadelphia Eagles bid to avenge their 2022 defeat to the Chiefs and to put the first dent into Andy Reid’s NFL dynasty, with Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley looking to pushing the defense through the running game.

The moneyline currently has the Chiefs at favorites for the clash in New Orleans on Sunday, February 9, priced at -126 compared to +108 for the Eagles.
