This could prove beneficial for Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll, both of whom are on the hot seat heading into the season and could benefit from a developmental quarterback option.

Selecting a Day 2 or Day 3 quarterback might lessen immediate pressure while allowing ownership to see a bigger-picture vision for the team.
