The NFL is about to end the 105th season of its extremely rich and long history, so it seems that everything has already happened, however, the last game of the regular season will present us with a first time, never before have two teams with at least 13 wins have met in the last game to define a divisional champion and that will happen on the first Sunday of 2025.
The Detroit Lions, who still have to play the last Monday Night Football of the campaign when they visit the eliminated San Francisco 49ers, will host the Minnesota Vikings at Ford Field on Sunday, January 5 at 7:20 pm (Central Mexico time) in the final game of Week 18 of the 2024-25 NFL season, in a game where the winner will have a bye week and the privilege of hosting all the NFC playoffs at home as the NFC North champion, while the loser will fall to #5 in the seedings and will have to be a visitor in the wild-card round.

AFC North to be decided on Saturday, January 4
In addition, the NFL also announced on its X account (formerly Twitter) which will be the two games on Saturday, January 4, a day in which another vacant divisional title will be defined, that of the AFC North. First, at 3:30 pm (Central Mexico time), the Cleveland Browns will visit the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium. If they win, they will secure the title of their division. Later, if Maryland loses, it will be the Pittsburgh Steelers who will be able to claim the throne at home at Acrisure Stadium when they host the still-alive Cincinnati Bengals at 7:00 pm (Central Mexico time). The Bengals could still claim the last wild card spot, which is currently in the hands of the Denver Broncos, while the Miami Dolphins are also fighting for that spot.
Both Saturday’s Browns vs. Ravens and Bengals vs. Steelers games, as well as Sunday’s Vikings vs. Lions game, will be broadcast live in Mexico on ESPN and streamed on Disney + and NFL League Pass on DAZN.
