NFL legend Terry Bradshaw, a beloved figure on FOX NFL Sunday, has finally addressed swirling retirement rumors, offering fans clarity on his future with the network. At 76, the Pittsburgh Steelers icon, known for his four Super Bowl victories and charismatic broadcasting style, shared his plans during a recent interview, shedding light on his contract and career intentions. Bradshaw’s announcement has sparked excitement among fans eager to know how long they’ll see him on their screens.

Bradshaw, a FOX staple since 1994, revealed he’s eyeing a potential exit around 2029, aligning with Super Bowl LXIII, which FOX will broadcast. “I‘m planning to work on one more Super Bowl as a broadcaster before saying goodbye to my FOX career,” he stated, hinting at a five-year timeline.

His current contract, reportedly worth $5 million per season, runs for two more years, giving him flexibility to decide his next steps. This timeline suggests Bradshaw aims to retire on a high note, possibly at age 80, a testament to his enduring passion for football and broadcasting.

Despite health challenges, including battles with rheumatoid arthritis and two types of cancer, Bradshaw remains vibrant. He’s lost 48 pounds with help from his wife, Tammy, and is targeting another 20-pound loss to reach 208 pounds. “I’m hoping I’ll lose 20 more pounds in another year,” he shared, showcasing his commitment to staying fit. His resilience shines through, from overcoming steroids-induced weight gain to maintaining his role as a fan-favorite analyst alongside Howie Long and Michael Strahan.

Steelers icon talks retirement and new showtime gigs

Bradshaw’s career extends beyond the studio. He has a new venture, The Terry Bradshaw Show. This entertainment gig feature his signature humor and NFL anecdotes, promising a fresh chapter for the Hall of Famer. Additionally, his passion for horse racing continues, with investments in three thoroughbreds alongside trainer Ken McPeek, hinting at a potential Kentucky Derby run.

As one of the last original FOX NFL Sunday members, Bradshaw’s legacy is unmatched. His candidness about retirement, paired with his multifaceted pursuits-from broadcasting to stage performances and horse racing-keeps fans captivated. Whether he’s cracking jokes on air or planning his final Super Bowl broadcast, Bradshaw’s journey remains a masterclass in reinvention, proving that even legends can keep evolving.
