What Shohei Ohtani did in Game 4 against the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday, October 17, finished chiseling his name into the historical stones of MLB. The sublime individual performance on the mound and then at the plate broke with the normal schemes of baseball, which makes him a being from another galaxy. So much so that one of the Yankees legends did not hesitate to surrender in praise of the Japanese player.

After a 5-1 victory at Dodger Stadium, the Los Angeles team swept Milwaukee to be crowned National League champion. Ohtani delivered a historic game on Friday, hitting three home runs and striking out 10 batters. He eventually won the NLCS Most Valuable Player award based on Game 4, adding another accolade to an already illustrious career.

C.C Sabathia celebrates Shohei Ohtani

His performance got everyone in the sporting world talking, including New York Yankees legend C.C. Sabathia, who celebrated Ohtani online with two social media posts. “THREE HR plus this NLCS pitching performance… just crazy!!,” he wrote in one post. “The best baseball player of all time because… enjoy the Sho!,” read his second.

(…) simply crazy!!

Sabathia knows a thing or two about hitting home runs and striking out batters. Throughout his career, the former Yankee hit three home runs as a pitcher and finished with more than 3,000 strikeouts. The retired pitcher was not the only one left stunned. Manager Dave Roberts called Ohtani’s performance “the best individual display of all time. There’s a reason he’s the best player on the planet.”

Dave Roberts sends clear and concise message to Dodgers about World Series

The Dodgers’ road to the World Series has been a rollercoaster of emotions, but under the leadership of Dave Roberts, the team has proven to be a true machine. Despite criticism, Roberts has handled the pressure and led his team to the pinnacle of success. In the celebration after winning the National League Championship Series against Milwaukee, Roberts did not hesitate to send a clear message to his team.

“We talked about focus. Winning this World Series is the most important thing for each of us and our families,” Roberts said, underlining the importance of staying focused and hungry for victory. With an impressive record of 24-6 in their last 30 games, the Dodgers are shaping up to be a formidable opponent for any American League representative.
