New York Yankees give notice of when Aaron Judge will return from elbow injury

New York Yankees fans are hoping for a winning streak and good news, and both requests have been granted in recent days. On the sporting side, the Bronx Bombers have won their fourth game in a row after beating the Miami Marlins 12-10 in the first game of the series. On the news front, the New York management has indicated when Aaron Judge will be back in the batter’s box.

The current MVP has been sidelined with a strain of the flexor in his right elbow, but the news is encouraging. “The Judge” took batting practice on the field Friday and is expected to be activated from the disabled list on Tuesday, August 4 or Wednesday, August 5. It is worth remembering that New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone mentioned that Judge’s return will be as a designated hitter to avoid a recurrence of his injury by placing him in his outfield position.

How did Aaron Judge get injured?

The injury occurred on July 22 against the Toronto Blue Jays when Aaron Judge threw the ball from right field to get Davis Schneider out at the plate. Despite the obvious pain, Judge continued to play the next two games against Toronto and the Philadelphia Phillies before being placed on the 10-day disabled list. His tenacity is undeniable, but both management and managers know that health comes first, with two months to go before the playoffs begin.

The same manager has confirmed that Judge’s recovery is on schedule, which is great news for fans. This will allow his powerful bat to return to the lineup without the risk of aggravating the injury, although his return as an outfielder is still unknown. However, the public will be watching his return to the batter’s box to see if the injury did not diminish the power of his swing.

The final phase of Aaron Judge’s rehabilitation

Judge will travel to the Yankees’ facility in Tampa Bay on Saturday to face live pitchers, a crucial step before his return. Fans are eager to see him back in action, especially at a time when the team needs every possible win to stay in playoff contention.

With their victory over Miami, the New York Yankees remain in second place in the American League East with a record of 60 wins and 49 losses, three games behind the Toronto Blue Jays as leaders of the zone, but they are still one game ahead of the Boston Red Sox, where they must not let up to prevent their arch-rivals from ousting them from third place.
