LeBron James and Luka Doncic could have a new teammate for the next National Basketball Association (NBA) season. The Los Angeles Lakers are looking to strengthen the center position, so a young talent could be part of the squad led by JJ Redick for the 2025-26 campaign.

Walker Kessler could leave Utah Jazz to play for the Lakers
Coach JJ Redick and the Lakers’ front office are reportedly interested in the services of Walker Kessler, a Utah Jazz center who has already impressed in the league with his defensive dominance and offensive upside. Kessler is coming off a solid season in which he averaged 11.1 points, 12.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 2.4 blocks in 58 games. His ability to anchor a defense while also contributing offensively is exactly the kind of versatility the Lakers believe would complement James and Doncic in their quest for another championship.
