Nelly Korda has been receiving an unusual amount of attention since Friday, November 21. A powerful global sports figure suddenly focused on her, and with an Instagram story highlighting her performance at the 2025 CME Group Tour Championship in Naples, everything exploded.

LeBron James posted clips of Korda during the tournament, where she may have delivered the best showing of her LPGA career. Nine birdies placed her at the highest performance level she has displayed so far. The text James used to accompany her highlights was.

The unexpected post quickly made waves, partly because James, who has just returned to the NBA courts after missing the start of the season due to a sciatic injury, rarely highlights athletes outside basketball. Korda admitted she was genuinely flattered.

Her words showed not only gratitude but also excitement over the unexpected recognition from the Lakers star.

But her reaction did not end there. She followed up with a friendly invitation, suggesting that playing together someday would be something she would welcome with enthusiasm.

His enthusiasm for the sport extends beyond spectating, as he frequently makes time for golf sessions despite his demanding schedule. The game helps him clear his mind, and he often seeks out nearby courses whenever possible.

However, in recent months, he had to slow down due to a health issue that sidelined him at the start of the season for the first time in twenty-three years. Dr. Alan Beyer even suggested that golf might have aggravated his sciatic problem.

As for Korda, she currently sits in second place in the tournament after posting seven under par with no bogeys during Saturday’s round. That performance brought her to sixteen under overall, although she remains well behind leader Jeeno Thitikul, who stands at twenty-two under.
