NBA fans react to Draymond Green’s obscene gesture to Scottie Barnes

The Golden State Warriors fell 141-27 to the Toronto Raptors in overtime, losing their three-game winning streak in the process.

However, it was Draymond Green who stole the show, not for his shooting, but for an obscene gesture to Scottie Barnes that could have earned him a ejection, according to fans.

NBA fans react to Green’s gesture

The four-time NBA champion was the team’s second-leading scorer with 21 points (4 three-pointers), 7 assists, and 4 rebounds in 33 minutes of play. Stephen Curry was the game’s leading scorer with 39 points, 4 assists, and 3 rebounds. However, it wasn’t enough to stop the Raptors.

Despite this, Green showed off his talent from the three-point line and, after sinking one of his shots, taunted his opponent Scottie Barnes and gave him the middle finger.

This gesture surprised fans, as it came after a heated altercation with Steve Kerr in the victory over the Orlando Magic on Monday, March 22, when the two-time Olympic gold medalist stormed off to the locker room and did not return to the court.

“He’s begging for another suspension. Biggest joke in the league,” wrote one fan. “Clown behavior. Hope Silver fines the hell out of him. There are kids at those games. What kind of example are you setting? Dude is an idiot,” said another fan. “How is that not a technical? Draymond gets away with a lot of things just because we expect this attitude from him,” complained another.

Others, meanwhile, took Green’s gesture with humor: “LMFAOOOOOOOOO this is the Dray I wanna see, not the f**king linebacker,” said one of them. “Lmao Draymond is comedy bro,” commented another. “Idk why but just had me dying,” wrote a third fan with laughing emojis.

Meanwhile, Golden State will return to the court on Monday, December 29, where they will face the Brooklyn Nets (10-19) at the Barclays Center, who are coming off three consecutive wins and seven of their last ten.

Green and the Warriors will close out 2025 against the Charlotte Hornets on December 31 at the Spectrum Center.
