NBA fan wins $9,600 in less than a minute by hitting 3 straight puts in front of a packed arena

The Utah Jazz are tied for the worst record of the 2024-2025 NBA season with the Washington Wizards, and there’s one game left in the campaign.

Talk about a horrible season. Without any real superstars – veteran guard Jordan Clarkson is not an elite player and Collin Sexton is a good player but not a star -, the future of the team is uncertain.

The Jazz is not going to contend for an NBA title anytime soon, and the rebuilding phase might not be over yet. Utah‘s in it’s third losing season and some fans have began to experience tank fatigue. Sure, a franchise needs time before they can start seeing results in their draft picks, but right now, the years ahead don’t look that great.

A fan wins close to $10K in less than a minute

The Utah Jazz took the floor in front of the home fans at Delta Center Friday night for one last time before the season is over, and the result couldn’t be any worse: a 145-111 loss to the Western Conference leader Oklahoma City Thunder, who were far superior than the bottom team in the region.

However, not everything was bad news for one Jazz fan who won $9,600 in less than a minute after winning a challenge that required him to hit three straight puts in less than a minute. The amazing achievement got fans at Delta Center excited for the man as they were cheering him on.

Social media users loved every second of it, as they praised the man that accomplished it. “That wasn’t just clutch, that was flow meeting focus. When spirits aligns, even the putts feel destined,” wrote an X user. “I bet his girl told him he didn’t need to go to the damn game and gets mad when he goes golfing. Well, joke’s on her,” added another person.

A positive note for a terrible team

Not everything is bad news for the Utah Jazz. rookie forward Kyle Filipowski – a former Duke Blue Devils star – put forth the best performance of his young careeer during Wednesday’s overtime win over the Portland Trail Blazers, with 30 points, 18 rebounds and five assists.

And he once again led the way for Utah against OKC, when the 21-year-old had 15 points, 13 rebounds and two blocked shots, as he showed momentum, the will to win and the determination that could make him an X factor for the foreseeable future, which is great news for the Jazz.

“Kyle Filipowski shows a lot of toughness, both mentally and physically. He has displayed decent running in the open floor with good mobility for a 7-footer. During his college career he showed that he’s a good dunker off two feet when he gets into open space and sheds a defender,” states his NBA scouting report before he entered the league.
