As one of the NFL’s premier defensive talents, Myles Garrett’sversatility already commands headlines on the gridiron and he’s making waves off it too. Following the Big3 championship, the Browns pass rusher expressed eager anticipation about joining his brother Sean Williams on the court in the future, His surprising revelation could set the stage for a one-of-a-kind sibling reunion on the hardwood.

Garrett, from NFL to Big3

During a sideline intervie at the Big3 championship, Garrett watched his brother Sean, a former NBA vet, lead his squad to the title. “Eventually, I can see it happening”, Garrett said, sharing that joining his brother in a tournament would be something he’d love.

I can definitely see myself on the court

Garrett’s athletics roots stretch beyond the gridiron, he played basketball in high school before embracing football full-time. Plus, his ties to hoops run deep: in 2023, he purchased a minority stake in the Cleveland Cavaliers and serves as an ambassador to the franchise, positioning him as a familiar face in the NBA world.

A rare athlete transition

Should Garrett lace up alongside his brother in the Big3, or any basketball setting, it would be a rare crossover. Sean Williams, Garrett’s older brother, enjoyed stints with the Nets, Mavericks, and Celtics, and later continued playing in the G-League and abroad.

This potential switch underscores Garrett’s versatile athletic identity, he isn’t just banking on his NFL legacy. Engaging in a professional-level basketball enfironment like the Big3 would keep him physically sharp, while spotlighting his competitive spirit beyond football.
