MLB analyst offers positive news for Dodgers amid alarming injury crisis

The Los Angeles Dodgers season has been hit by injuries after just one month, particularly with shoulder problems suffered by two of their starters. First it was Blake Snell, and on Sunday, Tyler Glasnow had to leave the game against thePittsburgh Pirates at the start of the second inning.

Glasnow was punished by the Pirates offense with two solo home runs in the first inning, which were their only runs and the Dodgers immediately reacted and turned it around to give them a 9-2 thrashing.

Glasnow has been inconsistent throughout the campaign, even a week earlier he had already left the game against the Texas Rangers due to cramps in the lower leg, while the other starter with problems, Blake Snell, remains on the injured list and his return was complicated by a new inflammation in the shoulder, while he was in his recovery program, however, the MRI did not show that there was additional damage.

Dodgers would fight Yankees for Sandy Alcantara

In addition to the starters, closer Blake Treinen also joined the list, but MLB analyst Greg Amsinger hinted that the Dodgers may have a rescue plan with a Cy Young winner worth $56 million.

Amsinger revealed that there are talks for a possible trade with the Miami Marlins for ace Sandy Alcantara, who has not had a stellar role with his team and a trade could be feasible.

The mission is not as easy as it seems, as according to MLB expert Bob Nightengale, the New York Yankees are also interested in Alcantara, to pair him in the rotation with Max Fried.

“I think they’ll change it, probably in late July… somebody’s going to have to give up a lot. As much as the Padres have given up for Juan Soto, it could cost a team more. I think the Yankees will do everything they can,” Nightengale said.
