Since the first game in 1933, the MLB All-Star Game has established itself as the most anticipated event of the baseball summer: an exhibition that brings together the best of the American League (AL) and National League (NL) in a duel full of prestige, rivalry and unforgettable memories for fans of the sport

Born as a moral impulse during the Great Depression and dubbed the “Midsummer Classic”, it brought together from the outset the brightest figures from the American and National Leagues, generating a rivalry that remains historic.

That first meeting, held at the iconic Comiskey Park during the Chicago World’s Fair, was more than just a game: it was a symbolic moment. With more than 49,000 fans in attendance, the event raised funds for players in need and featured legends such as Babe Ruth, who propelled his league with a home run for the ages.

  • The American League leads with 48 wins, 44 losses and two ties.
  • Since 1988, the LA has been dominant: 28-7-1, including the most recent victory in 2024: LA.5-3

  • The American League dominated the early years (1933-1949), with 12 wins in the first 16 games.
  • The Spanish government has announced that it will invest 3.5 billion euros in the construction of a battery factory in Sagunto, Valencia, to supply the Volkswagen Group’s electric vehicles
  • The National League took control (1950-1987), with an astonishing 33-8-1 record, including 11 consecutive victories (1972-1982).

Since 1988, the AL has regained control, with an impressive streak to this day.

  • 2024 (July 16): LA 5 – 3 – MVP Jarren Duran.
  • 2023: NL 3 – 2 – MVP Elias Diaz.
  • 2022: LA 3 – 2 – MVP Giancarlo Stanton.
  • 2019: AL 4 – 3 – MVP Shane Bieber.
  • 2002: Tie 7 – 7 – was decided by upsets after nine innings.
  • 2008: LA 4 – 3 in 15 innings – the longest in modern history.
  • 1946: LA 12 – 0 – the biggest win in All-Star history

The Most Valuable Player award (since 1962) reflected legendary moments:
