Mike Tyson shakes up the financial world as the ‘final challenge’ in the grand finale of Going Public

Mike Tyson, one of the most iconic names in global boxing, is once again making headlines-this time in a completely different arena: the world of investments. At 56, Tyson has been announced as the central figure in the grand finale of Going Public, the innovative business reality series streamed on X Originals (formerly Twitter).

Despite facing major financial challenges during his career-including a high-profile bankruptcy-the former champion has managed to rebuild his fortune. His recent bout against Jake Paul earned him $20 million, boosting his net worth to $30 million. Now, with a new chapter ahead, Tyson is aiming to become a force beyond the ring.

His appearance in the season finale, produced by Crush Capital Inc., has stirred major anticipation. The episode promises to deliver drama, business strategy, and the unpredictable edge that only someone like Tyson can bring.

A major test for entrepreneurs

Tyson released a promo video on his social media, teasing his role as the “final challenge” that the founders must face. In his words:

“I’ve seen a lot both inside and outside the ring. I’ve learned to spot weaknesses and stand strong in any situation.”

Far from being defeated by his past failures, Tyson has turned them into life lessons. He now says his instinct helps him detect false promises and empty talk-skills he will use to assess the character and commitment of the participating entrepreneurs.

On June 24 at 2:00 PM PT, the Going Public finale will stream live via the official @MikeTyson and @Live accounts on X. The event will not only feature the former champion, but also present three startups competing to win over investors and a global audience.

A massive success for a format that connects with viewers

Going Public has broken new ground by allowing viewers to invest directly in real companies during each episode. So far, the series has amassed over 105 million views, making it one of the most popular shows on X Originals.

Previous episodes have followed startups in sectors like real estate, technology, and consumer products. In the grand finale, these companies must defend their business models and visions in front of Tyson, who represents the final and toughest test.

Mitchell Smith, head of original content at X, celebrated the announcement:

“Mike Tyson’s involvement takes this finale to a whole new level. We’re thrilled by what it represents for the audience.”

Tyson moves from the ring to a key figure in investing

The show’s executive producer, Todd Goldberg, also highlighted the significance of Tyson’s participation:

“Mike is a global legend. Having him as part of the finale turns the show into a must-see event.”

Beyond entertainment, Tyson’s presence holds symbolic value: it represents the power of reinvention-of turning personal setbacks into motivation for new challenges. His role in Going Public isn’t just for show; he will question, push, and demand that the entrepreneurs prove their grit.

With a life defined by triumphs, falls, and comebacks, Mike Tyson enters this new arena with the same intensity he once brought to the boxing ring. This time, the battle is mental and financial-and millions will be watching.
