Micah Parsons shocks Jerry Jones with bold move after contract talks stall: “Call my agent”

Micah Parsons just sent a loud and clear message to Cowboys owner Jerry Jones – and it wasn’t the news Jones wanted to hear.

The star defensive end, who’s gunning for a record-shattering contract extension, reportedly told Jones exactly what he wanted during a recent face-to-face meeting. The two sides appeared to be on the same page – until Jones stalled, failing to call Parsons’ agent to lock in the deal. Now, that delay could come at a serious cost.

According to NFL insider Clarence Hill Jr., Parsons told Jones to “call my agent” – and walked away. That call never came. And in the time since, the pass rusher market has exploded.

Watt and Garrett paved the way for Parsons

Parsons has caught wind of a blockbuster deal reportedly brewing for Steelers’ T.J. Watt – one that exceeds what he was originally willing to accept from Dallas. With Myles Garrett’s current $40 million per year deal setting the bar, Parsons now wants even more – and league insiders say he’s about to get it.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter went all in during an appearance on Unsportsmanlike Radio, predicting Parsons is “set to become the highest-paid defensive player in NFL history.” Schefter added, “He’s younger than all of them, his numbers are outstanding – this deal will trump the others.”

For now, the 26-year-old Parsons is still showing up and putting in work at minicamp, but the tension is rising in Dallas. And if Jerry Jones thought he had time on his side, that clock may have just run out.

Myles is on Micah’s side

Schefter isn’t the only one who believes Parsons is about to get his desired raise. Garrett himself asserted that the Cowboys star deserves more than what Dallas is offering, saying, “I think he deserves whatever he’s earned.”

The Cleveland Browns star was full of praise for Parsons, highlighting his dedication and commitment to improving every day. “He has that level of dedication to the game. He should get every penny he’s owed,” Garrett declared. Is Jerry Jones listening?
