When it comes to off-season drama, the Dallas Cowboys are always a top contender, and this year, it’s no different.
Thanks to Jerry Jones, the team has once again become a circus, and the latest act features star pass rusher Micah Parsons, who’s openly expressing frustrations over his contract situation.
Parsons, who’s currently without a new deal, has already become the subject of trade speculation, with Pro Football Focus (PFF) even naming him Dallas’ “best trade asset” leading into the 2025 NFL Draft.
This is nothing new for the Cowboys, who’ve seen other players like CeeDee Lamb hold out for better deals in the past. Now, it’s Parsons making waves.
What did Parsons say?
The 24-year-old defensive star took to social media with a pointed message aimed at players’ agents, claiming they’re not doing enough to protect players in contract negotiations.
“Some of these agents don’t have the best interest for y’all man!! Wake up!!” he wrote on Twitter.
“It’s sad seeing some of these players get violated by teams because of lack of decency and effort by their agents!!”
It’s not just an offhand comment-Parsons made it clear that while he trusts his agent, David Mulugheta, not every player is as lucky.
So, what does this mean for Dallas? Not much good. If Parsons is already this frustrated about how players are being treated in contract talks, it’s unlikely he’ll accept a “team-friendly” deal. The Cowboys are now faced with a critical decision: either pay Parsons what he’s worth or risk losing him.
Parsons’ message to the Cowboys is clear: lowballing him won’t fly. The ball is now in the team’s court, and they’ll need to make a choice-lock him in for the long haul or face the possibility of another superstar walking away.
