Micah Parsons draws the line: New rule for Dallas Cowboys fan interactions

Micah Parsons is one of the biggest stars on the Dallas Cowboys, which makes him a top NFL celebrity. Being a key part of ‘America’s Team’ comes with plenty of perks, but also a few downsides. One of those downsides might be having to take countless photos with fans every time he goes out in public.

It seems that the Cowboys’ star defensive player has had enough of inconsiderate fans and took to X to set a new rule for fans to follow before asking for a picture. “New rule if someone doesn’t ask how I’m doing before the ask for a picture or put they phone in my face ima say no lol,.” Parsons wrote.

Parsons may be joking about refusing to take pictures with fans, but he gives us a glimpse into what it’s like to be an NFL star on a daily basis-where fans ask for photos but often don’t show much interest in the person behind the fame.

Parsons’ future with the Cowboys

The defensive star has been waiting for a new contract with the Cowboys that could make him the highest-paid non-quarterback in the NFL, but the franchise owner, Jerry Jones, hasn’t been in any rush to renew the 25-year-old linebacker’s deal.

Jones has highlighted the importance of getting the contract right rather than completing it quickly. “I’d rather pay more and get it right than pay less and screw it up,” he said.

The 25-year-old linebacker is entering his fifth year of his rookie contract and is set to earn approximately $21.3 million in 2025. Parsons has been a cornerstone of the Cowboys’ defense, earning Pro Bowl selections in each of his four NFL seasons and amassing 52.5 sacks over 63 games.
