Micah Parsons denies extension reports as contract talks continue

Micah Parsons, standout linebacker for the Dallas Cowboys, has addressed rumors suggesting that he has finalized a contract extension with the team.

Speculation swirled online following claims that Parsons and the Cowboys had come to an informal agreement, sparking widespread fan and media attention.

However, Parsons swiftly denied the reports, using the slang phrase “no kizzy” on social media – a term commonly understood to mean “no lie” – to directly refute the assertion. The message made it clear: there’s no deal on the table yet.

Currently entering the fifth and final year of his rookie contract, Parsons remains in a critical phase of his professional journey. Conversations about a long-term extension are ongoing, with many expecting that any eventual agreement would place him among the highest-paid defensive players in NFL history.

Early projections suggest Parsons could land a deal worth upwards of $200 million over five years, potentially surpassing other top-tier defenders in average annual salary.

Future with the Cowboys a topic of discussion

Despite the rumors, Parsons has remained professional and focused, relying on his agent to manage the business side of his career. While fans eagerly await official word on a new deal, both the player and the Cowboys’ front office have remained relatively tight-lipped about where negotiations stand.

Inside the organization, there is a clear desire to secure Parsons’ future in Dallas. His performance on the field has consistently demonstrated his value-not just in stats, but in leadership and energy.

He has become a cornerstone of the defense, and his presence plays a significant role in the team’s long-term vision. Team executives have publicly expressed their confidence that a deal will eventually be reached, emphasizing mutual respect and a shared goal of keeping Parsons in Dallas for years to come.

However, the complexities of major NFL contracts, especially for marquee players, often require time, patience, and significant negotiation.

Parsons’ stance on the matter is simple: he trusts the process. By relying on his representation and staying focused on football, he’s positioning himself to get the deal he believes he deserves, while not getting distracted by speculation or outside noise.

For now, Cowboys fans will have to wait. While no extension has been confirmed, there’s every indication that both sides are actively working toward a long-term agreement. Parsons remains a central figure in the Cowboys’ defense, and securing his services beyond 2025 appears to be a top priority for the franchise.
