Micah Parsons could be forced to pay a multi-million dollar fine if he doesn’t do what Jerry Jones demands in Dallas

The Dallas franchise needs a star like Micah Parsons for the upcoming NFL season-yes, it’s an irrefutable truth. However, this doesn’t seem to matter much to owner Jerry Jones, who-in fact-would fine the linebacker a significant sum if he doesn’t meet his team’s requirements.

For a time, when the “novel” between Parsons and Jones began, it seemed that the linebacker would easily get the highest contract ever for a defensive star. But we’re past that stage now. Instead, Parsons could face a hefty fine that threatens to make this story even worse; as things stand, Parsons could lose millions.

Micah Parsons’ fine would be $5.3 million for the Cowboys

Parsons’ contract situation has worsened. According to reports, if he is suspended for four games, he could lose more than $1.3 million for each game he misses. Why would Micah be fined? Quite simply, as explained at the time, it seems he doesn’t want to practice until he has a good contract with the team.

Pro Football Talk described the situation candidly: “The situation between the Cowboys and Micah Parsons could worsen if the Cowboys inform him that he is medically cleared to practice and play, and that failure to do so could result in him being disciplined.” The penalty, for Parsons, would translate into a massive $5.3 million fine.

Brian Schottenheimer reacts to seeing Micah Parsons lying down against the Falcons

Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer announced he would meet with Micah Parsons last Sunday to discuss the pass rusher’s behavior during Friday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons. At the start of the third quarter, Parsons remained lying on a medical table behind the Cowboys bench.

He was also the only player who did not wear his jersey during the game. Brian Schottenheimer indicated that if a decision needs to be made, the team will handle it internally. “Without talking to Micah, I need to find out what he was doing and why he did it,” Schottenheimer said on a conference call Saturday.
