The Miami Masters, also known as the Miami Open, is part of the ATP Masters 1000 series for men and the WTA 1000 series for women. It is held annually in Miami, Florida, United States but who exactly has managed to win the series?

The Miami Open is one of the most prestigious tournaments on the tennis calendar, attracting the top male and female players from around the world such as Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz and the Williams sisters and it is played on outdoor hard courts.

Typically taking place over two weeks in March and April, the tournament features both men’s and women’s singles and doubles events, as well as mixed doubles. Matches are held at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, which has been the event’s venue since 2019.

The Miami Masters offers significant ranking points and prize money, making it a key event in the lead-up to the Grand Slam tournaments, such as the French Open, Wimbledon, and US Open. It has a rich history and has seen many memorable moments and fierce rivalries over the years.

Andre Agassi, by virtue of doing it first, is the most successful at the tournament as he is tied with six wins. He shares that status with Novak Djokovic. Overall, seven players have managed to win it twice and they’re some of the most iconic names in the history of the sport.
