Lionel Messi did not play for Argentina’s national team, but he did react to his teammates’ historic victory in their match against Brazil, but not before seeing Raphinha send a message that was forgotten with a resounding 4-1 victory.

Messi was aware of Argentina

The Argentine number “10” missed the CONMEBOL qualifying matches with the world champion team, but uploaded a story where it was clear that he does not lose track of the team.

From what looks like the comfort of his home, Messi posted a story on Instagram where you can see the score of the match, in addition to accompanying it with emojis of applause.

Argentina has already qualified for the 2026 World Cup

The world champion team became the fourth qualifier to the World Cup to be organized by the United States, Mexico and Canada, after a 0-0 draw between Bolivia and Uruguay.

All this happened after they managed to score four goals against Brazil for the first time in the history of the World Cup Qualifiers

Argentina troll Brazil on the pitch as they win in historic fashion

It is the first time the Albiceleste has won both matches against Brazil in a CONMEBOL World Cup qualifier. The home win was also Argentina’s first against the Brazilians since qualifying for the 2006 World Cup.

Argentina has led South American qualifying from the start, with few upsets and important away wins in Brazil and Uruguay. But coach Lionel Scaloni has not fielded Messi, 37, in several matches, continuing to cast doubt on whether the star will play in next year’s World Cup.
