In the framework of the Nueva Economia Forum, Font spoke about the upcoming elections at Barcelona and put pressure on Messi to speak out and clarify everything that has been said about his possible return to Barcelona in 2023.

The candidate hopes that the issues will be clarified before the elections, but it is very unlikely that Messi will lend himself to this conflict or even clarify something that does not concern him, because everything will be left to the discretion of each fan.
Victor Font’s call to Barcelona fans
Font called for the debate to be focused on what really matters and explained that fans should prioritise Barcelona over any candidate.
“The member must choose the Barca they want from Monday, not just decide between candidates,” said Font.
Font also spoke about the club’s financial problems, where he explained that “if we owe 2.5 billion euros and we don’t make a profit, ownership is at risk“.
