Memorial Tournament 2025 Prize Money: How much is the payout for the top players?

, the prestigious Memorial Tournament returns to Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio, bringing together some of the most celebrated players in the world. Founded by golf legend Jack Nicklaus in 1976, this PGA Tour event has become one of the most iconic tournaments on the professional calendar.

With “invitational” status, the Memorial features a limited field of just 72 players-a reflection of its exclusivity, competitive level, and historical significance. Beyond sporting prestige and valuable FedExCup points, players will compete for one of the richest prize pools of the season: $20 million.

How much does the winner take home?

The 2025 Memorial Tournament champion will earn $4 million, matching the highest first-place payout outside of The Players Championship. The Players remains the only event with a larger total purse at $25 million, offering a record $4.5 million to its winner.

While other tournaments like The Masters, The Sentry, and the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am also offer $20 million purses, only the Memorial and the Arnold Palmer Invitational award $4 million to the champion-cementing their status as elite stops on the PGA Tour.

2025 Memorial Tournament Payouts: Top 10

  1. 1st place: $4,000,000
  2. 2nd place: $2,200,000
  3. 3rd place: $1,400,000
  4. 4th place: $1,000,000
  5. 5th place: $840,000
  6. 6th place: $760,000
  7. 7th place: $700,000
  8. 8th place: $646,000
  9. 9th place: $600,000
  10. 10th place: $556,000

The prize money continues to be distributed down to the 50th place, which receives $52,000, showcasing the tournament’s broad and generous financial rewards.

The 2025 Memorial Tournament is not just an opportunity to gain ground in the FedExCup standings, but also a showcase of global talent on one of the sport’s most revered stages. With a multimillion-dollar purse and a field packed with star power, this edition promises high drama for both players and fans alike.
