More than a decade after headlining the most lucrative and widely watched fight in boxing history, Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao will face each other again in a professional bout that is already generating global anticipation.

Their first fight in 2015 shattered financial and viewership records, including the largest PPV audience in the United States, with 4.6 million pay-per-view buys and more than $410 million in revenue, as well as box office records with $72.2 million in ticket sales. However, many fans felt it didn’t live up to the sporting hype, its commercial impact remains the benchmark for modern boxing.

Now both men return from retirement with unfinished business: Mayweather wants to reaffirm his dominance, while Pacquiao aims to avenge that loss and become the first fighter to blemish the American’s perfect record.

When is Mayweather vs Pacquiao 2?

The bout is scheduled for September 19, 2026.

Where will Mayweather vs Pacquiao 2 take place?

The venue will be the spectacular Sphere in Las Vegas, a $2.3 billion arena. This event will mark the first boxing match ever held there.

Who won the first fight?

Floyd Mayweather Jr. won the first fight against Manny Pacquiao by unanimous decision on May 2, 2015.

The judges scored the bout 118-110, 116-112, and 116-112, giving Mayweather a clear victory in their historic showdown at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

“I already fought and beat Manny once,” Mayweather said in a statement to Netflix. “This time will be the same result.

How can you watch Mayweather vs Pacquiao 2?

The fight will stream globally on Netflix, meaning more than 325 million potential subscribers worldwide can watch it without a traditional pay-per-view system.

How old will the fighters be?

  • Mayweather: 49 years old
  • Pacquiao: 47 years old

Both enter after retirement stints. Mayweather hasn’t fought professionally since defeating Conor McGregor in 2017, though he has remained active in exhibitions. Pacquiao retired in 2021 after losing to Yordenis Ugas, returned in 2025, and fought Mario Barrios to a draw.

What are their professional records?

  • Mayweather: 50-0 (27 KOs) – undefeated across five weight divisions.
  • Pacquiao: 62-8-3 (39 KOs) – the only boxer to win world titles in eight divisions.

“Floyd and I gave the world what remains the biggest fight in boxing history. The fans have waited long enough — they deserve this rematch,” Pacquiao said in a statement. “I want Floyd to live with the one loss on his professional record and always remember who gave it to him.

How much money will Mayweather and Pacquiao make in the rematch?

Official purses have not yet been disclosed. However, their first fight generated more than $410 million in revenue and 4.6 million U.S. PPV buys, so this rematch is also expected to rank among the richest fights ever, even though the streaming model changes the revenue structure.
