Maxx Crosby falls in NFL Top 100, but his epic reply proves he’s not done yet

Maxx Crosby is widely recognized as one of the NFL’s premier pass rushers. Over his six years as a professional, the Las Vegas Raiders star has become a model of dedication and discipline. So when the NFL dropped him down its annual Top 100 list, Crosby responded in a way worthy of an elite player-calm, professional, and determined.

Crosby entered the league as the 106th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. Since then, he’s grown into one of the most feared defenders in football, racking up 59.5 sacks and 366 tackles, 133 of them solo.

His 2024 season was cut short by an ankle injury, but that didn’t stop the Raiders from rewarding him with a three-year, $106.5 million contract extension in March. Still, the injury came with a price: a 12-spot slide in the NFL Top 100, from No. 10 to No. 24. Crosby, however, doesn’t seem bothered.

Maxx Crosby’s powerful response

On Friday, the NFL unveiled another portion of its 2025 Top 100 list, with Crosby landing at No. 22-just behind Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels. While this year’s rankings have stirred plenty of controversy, Crosby refused to be drawn into the noise.

Instead, he issued a short but powerful statement on X (formerly Twitter): “Got Work To Do.” For fans, it was the ultimate sign that Crosby remains locked in and focused.

The Raiders’ rocky start

The bigger concern for Raider Nation is the team’s sluggish preseason. Las Vegas has stumbled out of the gate with a 23-23 tie against the Seattle Seahawks and a 22-19 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

Although Crosby has seen only limited snaps, the team’s struggles have left fans and analysts uneasy. But if his response to the NFL Top 100 is any indication, Crosby won’t be discouraged. On the contrary-he’ll be driven to work even harder.
